TAKE A TRIP TODAY!
It's hard to do Washington D.C. justice in less than a couple days. Still, we tried to pack in what we could in one afternoon. We actually went on Christmas Eve, and the crowds weren't too bad!
We started at The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, then toured the National Mall, taking pictures of several monuments. There are dozens of smaller monuments and statues that we couldn't get to, as well as several monuments across the river or in other nearby areas that we couldn't reach.
Check out what we got to!
1 S Castillo Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32084
Like castles, forts, and military history? Want to know more about colonial America? Check out the Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine, Florida! It's the oldest and largest masonry fort in America. It's seen a lot of history, with Spain, England, and America all holding the fort at different times.
You can view cannons, living quarters, the watchtowers, and the central courtyard of the fort, and then go walk the walls and the moat. Take in the bay and check out the city view from the fort!
Let's get exploring!
4931 South Peninsula Drive - Ponce Inlet, FL 32127
Looking to climb some steps? Look no further! Climb the Ponce De Leon Lighthouse at Ponce Inlet, Florida. It's the highest Lighthouse in Florida!
Also check out the lighthouse keepers' homes and lifestyle memorabilia. Additionally, there is a whole building dedicated to the beacons and lights from lighthouses! Some of them are just HUGE!
